'I was like a sleeping man when you came to me.
I was sitting in sadness aforetime and you roused me.'

Everything has been said a billion times before. But still many ignore the lessons.
Our simple mission is to bring many lessons of the past to light and reveal a brighter path for you to follow.

Thanks for popping by URConqueror, I'm Mark Weeks, and these pages represent the essence of my world and being.
If like me you have a passion for all, or any, of the following subjects: Leadership, continuous self-improvement, history, or 'new age thinking' literature. You're in the right place, if not, we both have our work cut out :) .
We all have to stand for something in life, and for me, it's helping others find their true purpose. I can't help feeling too many of us have lost our perspective of a balanced lifestyle and it's wrecking the lives of people from the inside out.
And more specifically I feel men have to take greater responsibility and control of their lives. Too many are leading submissive roles in relationships, under too much pressure and not being true to themselves. It's high time men reclaimed their sense of self-leadership; which in turn will enable them to become better fathers, lovers and people.
Let me explain, I'm no guru, international speaker or multi-millionaire, but I do have an overwhelming desire to reach out and guide others who too will never settle for a life of conformity. I am here for those who dare to think differently to the masses, provide continuous mentorship and guidance. As none of us can do this life thing alone!
Maybe it's just an age thing to help others not make the same mistakes I made, because by the time you reach 50 you really do see the same old scenarios play out time and time again, both good and bad! And as Aldous Huxley so eloquently stated many years ago, 'That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons of history.'
My 25 year old self would have loved to have known the knowledge and people my old wise self knows, which basically forms my reason why. Then possibly my life could've been easier, less stressful and most definitely richer. Yet, if that was the case the stories, lessons and anecdotes I wish to share with you would be very boring.
MY STORY
I somehow managed to build a small fortune, lose a small fortune, create successful websites, write a top two Amazon bestseller (In it's category:), achieve the best Leadership & Management results in the UK, (with the Chartered Institute of Building), plus build a company of over 50 sub-contractors & employees and then enter a downward spiral which took every ounce of effort to turnaround. But I did, and here I stand with faults as well.
At heart I am a ragged trousered entrepreneur, and guess always will be. And, I know to be the best version of yourself takes consistent effort, it requires tenacity and discipline day in and day out, there is no easy way, as you well know. Very few appreciate the effort you make, and if like me you mention your dreams and plans too often to those who 'don't get it' you will end up alienating yourself from the 'crowd'.
Yes it really can be a lonely experience treading your own path without any true emotional support and encouragement. I know, I had lived in an environment like that for over twenty years, where my passion and desires were mocked and ridiculed in my home life.
I had gone from being a bricklayer to building up a construction company with over fifty employees and sub-contractors, earning a small fortune to then suddenly losing my business. I was forced to cling on desperately to any job I could find, from delivering parcels for £1 a time to being a work place charity fundraiser. The good times were over and the recession was biting my backside hard. I had to take action, I had to believe in myself again.
It was tough, but I never gave up and once more I can hold my head up high, did it happen overnight? NO.
Did it take making the hardest choices a man could ever take? YES without a shadow of a doubt.
Could I have achieved a life on my terms sooner if I had had the emotional support, encouragement and a system to follow, no matter what line of work I undertook? Damn right I could have. Though of course the responsibility for my life lay squarely on my shoulders, I had glaring weaknesses to overcome and had struggled with for years.
Today at the age of 53 I'm happier, healthier and as financially stable as ever before. And it was all achieved through the lessons and system I want to share with you over the coming months, plus I am fortunate enough to have created a platform where entrepreneurial spirited people like you share their knowledge and inspiring stories.
Thanks for reading, you've come this far you might like to read Mark's Why too :)
